Wayne & Julie Hams, owners of Geobay Butchers. Born & bred in Katanning we came to Busselton in 2001. We started Geobay Butchers 1 January 2014 with a 5 year plan, we are still going! Hamsy was in the Livestock game for 40 years, knows the market trends and quality of animals so knows where to source the best meat in this wonderful WA. We both have a love of thoroughbreds and have small shares in a few horses (as you can tell by the pics in the background). And as we live in one of the world’s best places we have access to amazing restaurants which we love to try out each weekend, particularly the ones we supply our local meat to, one small business supporting another.
Meet Kellie, our young super mum of 2 vivacious loveable boys. Kell has been with us since March 2019 and knows her stuff. Always smiling and very helpful with lots of knowledge of cuts of meat and cooking. Kellie loves to take her boys camping and not sure who is the bigger kid when it comes to skate boards and play grounds. Always ready for a joke and loves to laugh, has a bit of a potty mouth which we all love and she loves a beer!
Meet Brad, A Busseltonian for most of his life (lucky thing) Brad has a love for cricket and footy and has been in the butcher game for 17 years and loves his trade. He is very particular and precise and can help out with any cut of meat, everything he produces is professional and prepared with TLC
Meet Angus, wow this man has many talents and his second love is food, so when it comes to mixing flavours he is our man! Sausage King Angus has a knack for creating fresh aromatic pieces of sublime protein. 11 Years in the game and his presentation and flare is second to none
Meet Kevin (Tonky) – 55 years in the trade! What more can we say! Kev is our loveable casual butcher, our chief dicer and our oracle. A man of great knowledge and always happy to pass it on. Kev loves his Country music, especially Slim Dusty, growing his vege’s and we are lucky that Kev’s wife Sharon is a sensational cake cooker and just loves to share her creations with the Geobay crew.
